American Regeneration

Annual Impact Report: Year One

Our Mission

“A nation that heals its soil heals itself.”

We believe that soil health is the foundation for human health, economic resilience, and environmental sustainability. Our work connects regenerative agriculture practitioners directly to federal policymakers, bridging knowledge gaps and informing actionable policy.

A note from the Founders

In our first year, American Regeneration grew from an idea into a trusted national voice for regenerative agriculture. With guidance from our advisory coalition, the creativity of our collaborators, and the support of generous funders, we brought farmers, scientists, and policymakers together to show how healthy soil supports the health of our nation.

Building Our Foundation

Identity and Branding

Our logo, designed by longtime collaborator Jon Marro, gives the organization a strong visual identity. The website, built with help from Sarah Engelhart, provides a hub for updates, educational resources, and policy engagement.

Advisory Leadership

We convened 40 leading regenerative agriculture practitioners, scientists, and thought leaders as an advisory group. They guide our strategy, inform policy, and help bridge practitioner knowledge with federal decision-making, including MAHA Commission efforts.

Some of the leaders who contribute to our work include:

Policy and Advocacy Engagement

American Regeneration made eight trips to Washington, D.C., participated in dozens of congressional and agency meetings, and took part in multiple MAHA-related speaking events. These engagements ensured that regenerative agriculture solutions are part of federal decision-making.

Key Policy Contributions

  • Provided written recommendations and feedback to both MAHA Commission reports.

  • Advised on the USDA’s $700 million regenerative agriculture pilot program, helping shape early implementation.

  • Curated delegations of advisors to brief senior federal leaders, including Secretary Brooke Rollins, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Marty Makary, on the connections between soil health, nutrient density, and human health.

  • Collaborated with leaders of the EPA to coordinate regenerative field days and a Make Farming Profitable Again roundtable to take place in 2026.

  • Worked closely with both MAHA Action and the MAHA Institute to ensure farmer voices are represented in key policy discussions

  • Hosted farmers at multiple events and featured them on MAHA’s weekly live broadcast, MAHA Media Hub

Education and Storytelling

  • We developed a policy-relevant educational version of the award-winning film Common Ground, sharing it with policymakers to demonstrate the importance of regenerative agriculture in improving human and environmental health.

  • We co-produced a regenerative agriculture educational day in Washington, D.C., in partnership with the Heritage Foundation. The event, titled “The Future of Farming: Exploring a Pro-Health, Pro-Farmer Agenda,” convened policymakers, advisors, and thought leaders to deepen understanding of regenerative agriculture solutions and their role in promoting both human health and farmer prosperity

Digital, Media, and Campaign Impact

American Regeneration extended its influence beyond in-person meetings through strategic digital engagement, led by Kelly Ryerson.

Campaigns achieved nearly 600,000 views on Instagram, amplifying farmer and practitioner voices to policymakers and the public

Political Influence

Leveraged MAHA influencers to create opportunities to engage with the EPA. The AR team has held both in-person meetings and engaged in ongoing productive dialogue with the EPA to support regenerative farming education. The agriculture arm of the EPA has expressed interest in farm tours as well as a roundtable on farmer profitability, which we plan to organize throughout 2026.
